LOYAL COLONIES PRESS was established at Kingston, Ontario, in 1979 to publish reprints of selected pre-Confederation Canadian verse and to develope bibliographical tools relating mainly to early Canadian literature and culture. It was designed to be a vehicle for disseminating the results of academic research in these areas in small-run publications, operating on a break-even basis.(see LC PRESS)
